Established in 2021, Zygos Maritime Services aims to provide its customers, from Greek and International shipping industry, specialised services and products, that result clear benefits and optimised operational efficiency on seagoing vessels.

Our vision is to establish long-term relationships and cooperations, in line with our clients’ requirements.

Through continuous development we are able to guarantee an expeditious and state-of-the-art service offered at very competitive rates.

Occupying 40 employees currently, Zygos Maritime Services aspires to support the Greek & International Maritime with technical knowledge, man-power and spare parts, in order to face all challenges arising.

SERVICES PROVIDED

LINERS
3D SCANNING

Zygos Maritime Services is equipped with special tools able to inspect and measure the wear of Cylinder Liners of any 2-stroke Diesel Engine with bores between 400mm and 980mm.

Final report includes 20,000 measuring points with an accuracy of 0,01mm and a 3D model for each Cylinder Liner.

THERMOGRAPHY INSPECTION

Zygos Maritime Services provides thermographic inspection using infrared cameras to measure the amount of thermal radiation emitted by objects, which is converted to temperature.

Thermal imaging is a non-destructive method of preventive maintenance and may have many applications onboard sea-going vessels.

VIBRATION ANALYSIS

Zygos Maritime Services provides Vibration Analysis & Evaluation on any machinery rotating component as a condition based maintenance method.

Vibration analysis is one of the most important and effective methods of detecting the health of machinery.

Vibration data help identify faults or detect warning signs of potential failures. It can also aid in the detection of misalignment or unbalance of assets such as bearings and rotating pieces of equipment.

MACHINERY REPAIRS

Zygos Maritime Services engineers are specialized on all kinds of maintenance and repair works. Available 24/7, our teams may provide any kind of assistance either for routine repairs either for any unforeseen damage.

Our scope of work may include OH or Repair of:

(i) 2-stroke Main Diesel Engines or

(ii) 4-stroke Auxiliary Diesel Engines

Teams are based at Greece available to travel worldwide with just a short notice.

ME ENGINES: FIVA/ELFI/ELVA VALVES

Zygos Maritime Services is specialised on the repair, maintenance and OH of

(i) HPS Pumps and (ii) FIVA/ELFI/ELVA valves of Electronically controlled MAN ME Engines.

Our workshop is the first one in Greece to be equipped with a Test Bench for FIVA / ELFI / ELVA of any maker, supporting all vessels trading at European territory on the OH and calibration of such components. A separate Test Bench for HPS Pumps is also available at our premises.

ME ENGINES:
ONBOARD ATTENDANCES FOR TROUBLESHOOTING & MAINTENANCE

ZYGOS has available engineers who may attend onboard for urgent troubleshooting cases or routine maintenance. We are able to provide labor/manpower and genuine spare parts for all below works related to 5-year maintenance of ME Engines:

OH Fuel Booster units & Exhaust Valve Actuators
OH HPS and HCU Accumulator OH and refill with nitrogen
OH Cylinder Lubricators
OH Pneumatic system & Main Starting Valve
Remove & refill FIVA / ELFI / ELVA & Hydraulic Pumps (gearand/or motor ones)
